These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Bazun ("we," "us") for the Last Seen app and this website. By downloading, installing, or playing Last Seen, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Your license to play
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Last Seen for your own non-commercial entertainment on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. We keep all rights not expressly granted.
2. It's a work of fiction
Last Seen is interactive fiction. All characters, cases, messages, images, audio, and events in the game are invented and were created with the help of artificial intelligence. They do not depict real people, real crimes, or real events, and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. Nothing in the game is a statement of fact about any real person.
3. Purchases, subscriptions & refunds
Case 1 is free. Additional cases are available as one-time in-app purchases, and a subscription may be offered for access to all cases. All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account, under Apple's terms.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change over time.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel them in your Apple ID settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly, but we're happy to help you contact Apple.
- One-time case purchases give you access to that case; they are not consumable and can be restored via "Restore Purchases."
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its content;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the game's assets, cases, or source, except where the law expressly permits it;
- tamper with, circumvent, or defeat purchase, licensing, or security mechanisms;
- use the app in any unlawful way or in a manner that harms the service or other users.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its name, the "Last Seen" and "Signal 9" branding, the artwork, writing, audio, code, and overall design are owned by Bazun or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. "Last Seen" and its logos are our marks; please don't use them without permission.
6. Messages you send us
If you send us feedback, bug reports, or support messages, you grant us the right to use that content to operate and improve the game, without obligation to you. Please don't send us anything you consider confidential or that you don't have the right to share.
7. The App Store (Apple terms)
Because Last Seen is distributed through Apple's App Store, the following apply:
- This agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as set out in the App Store Terms.
- We — not Apple — are solely responsible for the app and for providing any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to furnish support.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims are our responsibility.
- We — not Apple — are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal-or-regulatory, and intellectual-property claims.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every case will be available at all times.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free case, may be zero). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Termination
These Terms apply until terminated. Your license ends automatically if you breach them; you may end it by deleting the app. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as the game evolves. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app or on this site. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of establishment, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. Questions about these Terms? Email support@bazun.me.
